There is a certain sense of nepotism in professional wrestling as those from wrestling families often have bigger opportunities to make an impact in the business. Second and third generations superstars find themselves knowing the inner workings of the industry well before anyone else.

There are well-known examples of fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, brothers, and sisters but what about cousins? Did you know that some of the most famous wrestlers in the world have had cousins in the business? Well, that's what we're here to look at today.

So, without any further ado, here is our list of 5 WWE wrestlers you didn't know had cousins in the business:

#5) Natalya Neidhart and Teddy Hart

Everyone knows Natalya today as the WWE Smackdown Live Women's Champion and one of the finest in-ring competitors in the world. But, did you know that she has a cousin by the name of Teddy Hart who was also once part of the WWE?

In the late 1990s, a young Teddy signed a contract with the WWE, making him the youngest person to have ever signed with the company - a record that he holds till today. Unfortunately, due to his substance abuse issues and his lack of respect for authority, he hasn't been seen in a WWE ring for well over a decade.

#4) Shawn Michaels and Matt Bentley

Shawn Michaels needs no introduction. The Showstopper, The Heartbreak Kid, Mr Wrestlemania, his monikers are as extravagant as he was skilled and he remains one of the very best WWE wrestlers of all-time.

Matt Bentley, on the other hand, is a semi-retired professional wrestler whose biggest claim to fame was a four year run with TNA in the mid-noughties. Despite being trained by Michaels, Bentley's career was nowhere near as exciting as his cousin's.

#3) The Undertaker and Brian Lee

The Undertaker is arguably the greatest professional wrestler to have ever laced on a pair of wrestling boots. He is the best of the very best and is held in massively high regard by everyone who watches the sport. This is despite the fact that he wrestled an impostor version of himself once.

I bring that up because that Impostor Undertaker was actually a man by the name of Brian Lee who is the real-life cousin of The Deadman. Lee also wrestled in the WWE under the name of Chainz and in TNA as Brian Lee.

#2) The British Bulldog and The Dynamite Kid

The British Bulldog is one of the most beloved professional wrestlers of all-time and one that everyone who ever watched wrestling in the 1990s remembers fondly. He was a powerhouse of a wrestler and one that enjoyed great fan support everywhere he went. That's what makes it a little shocking that his cousin is The Dynamite Kid.

After all, Kid had the reputation of being one of the most difficult people to deal with in the entire wrestling industry despite his amazing wrestling ability. The Dynamite Kid remains, to this today, one of the biggest wastes of talent in the history of the business.

#1) Jerry The King Lawler and Honky Tonk Man

Heelish cousins at their best

The most famous set of cousins in the list are Jerry The King Lawler and Honky Tonk Man. Lawler, of course, is most famous as a WWE commentator, but we shouldn't forget that he was one of the biggest names of the territorial wrestling scene prior to joining up with the WWE.

Honky Tonk Man, on the other hand, is widely considered one of the best examples of an elite mid-card talent. His cowardly heel act combined with his superb record with the Intercontinental Championship means he is a widely respected entity in the business.
