3: Sensational Sherri

Before becoming a manager Sherri was Women’s Champion

Sherri Martel remains one of WWF’s most polarizing figures in history. Prior to her successful management career, Martel would debut as a wrestler in WWF in 1987. Also with her debut Martel captured the Women’s Championship from The Fabulous Moolah, ending her 380-day reign.

Martel held the Championship for 441 days until losing it to Rockin’ Robin. Martel would never hold the Championship again. When the Championship was vacated in 1990, Martel turned over to managing full-time. She would be associated with Ted DiBiase, Harlem Heat and Shawn Michaels during the 1990s just to name a few.
