WWE is entering the second half of 2024, with three premium live events (Money in the Bank, SummerSlam, Bash in Berlin) set to take place through late August. The company is preparing for Money in the Bank on July 6 in Toronto.

MITB and SummerSlam could see the return of some of the top superstars who are out due to injury or hiatus. With that in mind, we take a look at six superstars that we expect to return in the coming months.

#6. Alexa Bliss has been absent from WWE for months

She has been out since the 2023 Royal Rumble due to her pregnancy. After giving birth to her first child in November 2023, she was expected to return soon.

However, there has been no reports about Bliss' comeback. It is unclear why the creative team has delayed her return for so long.

It is rumored that she will become the sixth member of the Wyatt Sicks faction. Considering the stable is making waves every week, she could join them at the earliest PLE (Money in the Bank).

#5. Charlotte Flair

She has been out since December of 2023 due to a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus. She was expected to fully recover in approximately nine months, meaning her return should happen in the late summer - early autumn.

Once this happens, she is expected to go after the reigning WWE Women's Champion Bayley on SmackDown.

#4. John Cena

Cena last appeared in WWE in April, at WrestleMania 40 and the RAW after Mania. He hasn't been seen since then, but we expect him to return for one final run.

John Cena recently admitted that his time with WWE is ending and he is getting closer to retirement. Should he return, it would make sense to have him going after the World Heavyweight Championship or the Undisputed WWE Championship so he surpasses Ric Flair for the record of winning the most world titles in the company's history. They are currently tied with 16.

#3. The Rock

The Rock is rumored to make his return to SmackDown this Friday, but it is unclear who his target will be. He could go after the reigning undisputed champion Cody Rhodes, continuing their feud.

The Final Boss could also address the changes in the Bloodline, with Solo Sikoa taking over. Even if he doesn't participate in one of the summer's premium live events, he should be back before the end of 2024.

#2. Roman Reigns

The Tribal Chief has been out since WrestleMania 40 but is being advertised for the final SmackDown before SummerSlam (August 2).

His return will most likely feature a feud with Solo Sikoa, which could be extended for a few PLES. The rivalry could feature a reunion with Jey and Jimmy Uso to fight the new version of The Bloodline (Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa).

#1. Rhea Ripley

Ripley has been out since early April due to a shoulder and arm injury. She is currently recovering at home and even got married to AEW star Buddy Matthews earlier this week.

Once she fully recovers, Ripley is bound to make a big comeback. The biggest stage for it would be SummerSlam. She could go after the reigning Women's World Champion, Liv Morgan, as the latter injured her and is now trying to take over the Judgment Day.
