#5 Most Hell in a Cell matches

youtube-cover

Hell in a Cell is a cage-based wrestling match that allows two or more Superstars to compete in the ring, surrounded by a 16-foot tall structure weighing over two tons. Unlike a steel cage match, that has an open-top, the Hell in a Cell match traps the competitors from all five sides to make matters even more interesting. The Undertaker was part of the first Hell In A Cell match.

WWE built an entire pay-per-view around the concept of the steel structure in 2009 after the match-type gained a lot of popularity and became a norm in the pro wrestling business.

The first Hell in a Cell match took place back in 1997 at WWE Badd Blood: In Your House. The match was held between The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels to determine the No. 1 contender for WWF Championship at Survivor Series and lasted almost 30 minutes. In the end, The Heartbreak Kid defeated Undertaker to go on to his big match at Survivor Series.

Undertaker lost his first Hell in a Cell match

Since then, fans have seen The Undertaker compete in no less than 14 Hell in a Cell matches during his illustrious career.

Taker has taken on many legends inside the steel structure, and his match against Mankind remains one of the best wrestling matches of all time.
