Created in 1988, SummerSlam is one of the original “Big Four” pay-per-views (along with WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, and Survivor Series) that is hosted by the company each year. SummerSlam is known as the second-biggest pay-per-view hosted by WWE each year behind WrestleMania. The Undertaker has left his mark on SummerSlam as well.

The Biggest Party of the Summer brings in the biggest WWE Superstars to settle the biggest rivalries in the ring each year. WWE has never seen a Superstar quite as big as The Undertaker, and therefore he makes it to the top of the list when it comes to competing at the event.

The Undertaker has dominated SummerSlam events

The Undertaker first competed at SummerSlam in 1992 against Kamala. Since then, he has competed in 16 matches at the event, creating another record for the company. John Cena is still at the number 2 spot with 14 appearances, and it will take a lot for Cena to catch up to The Phenom.

Undertaker has won 10 of those 16 matches and competed in the ring for a combined 237 minutes at the PPV. That shows just how important the Superstar has been to WWE.
