Xavier Woods suffered a torn Achilles in a live event match in the fall of 2019 and was later forced to undergo surgery to fix the issue. The former Tag Team Champion has since been on the sidelines, reduced to cheering for Kofi Kingston and Big E from home.
It was reported when he suffered the injury that Woods could be out for up to a year, which means that his return date could be very soon. Woods was injured back in October 2019, which means that the former Champion could return as early as October 2020. Despite this, some reports have stated that Woods could remain on the sidelines for much longer with many predicting that he won't be making his return until 2021.

While he's been away, The New Day has been able to reclaim the Tag Team Championships without him and successfully defended them at Money in the Bank.
