When The Ring Master character didn't quite work out, Steve decided that he wanted a rebirth and got inspired by watching a documentary about the Iceman, a serial killer who locked his victims in a freezer.

Austin decided he wanted the rebirth of his character around that chilling concept, he contacted WWE's creative team to request a nickname. As we all know, WWE creatives can sometimes be a bit off while picking the names of top superstars.

Thankfully, his ex-wife Jeanie Clark casually suggested the name 'Stone Cold’ while having her cup of tea else the WWE had suggested names like Fang Mc Frost, which seem more like a Child's Cartoon name compared to a deathly wrestler whose role Steve wanted to portray.

The six-time WWF Champion and three-time Royal Rumble winner owes a lot of his success to the name which was suggested by his wife and has become a brand name of sorts today.
