6 smart booking decisions that can make TLC a success

The RAW exclusive PPV TLC is almost here. But the match line-up isn't great

Tables, Ladders and Chairs, is usually one of the most anticipated PPV of the year. But unfortunately, the way this year's card is shaping up, there is little to no excitement surrounding it among the members of the WWE Universe. The absence of stars like, John Cena, Brock Lesnar, Jeff Hardy and Samoa Joe due to various reasons can be felt in a lacklustre TLC match card.

Utilizing all the available star power for the main event is a bewildering decision, that has left everyone shocked. But still, if the WWE makes these six smart booking decisions then the RAW exclusive PPV, TLC, can turn out to be a decent outing for Monday Night Raw.

#1 Asuka must destroy Emma

En
Asuka is one of the biggest superstars in NXT history

Asuka was the most dominating wrestler in all of the NXT for a long time. Asuka is without any shadow of a doubt, one of the greatest performers to compete in the history of NXT. Now that Asuka is about to debut on RAW, the women's division will never be the same ever again. Asuka is all set to take the women's revolution to a whole another level.

On her main roster debut against Emma at TLC, Asuka must completely decimate her humble rival. This will establish Asuka as a force to be reckoned with and the next big thing on RAW. Anyways, it is just a matter of time before Asuka is crowned as the new champ. A dominating victory over Emma will pave the path for just that.

#2 Enzo and Kalisto must revamp the Cruiserweight division

Enzo & Kalisto must become the new pillars of the cruiserweight division post the Neville era

The present cruiserweight division of WWE is a pale reflection of what this once phenomenal division was all about. Neville did his absolute best to re-establish the lost glory of this once phenomenal division, but he is now on his way out of the WWE. Even though there are many talented cruiserweights on the roster at the moment, Enzo Amore and Kalisto are WWE's best bet to revive this limping division.

Enzo and Kalisto must deliver a fast paced, high flying spectacle this Sunday. Either wrestler can walk out of TLC as the champ, but a hard-fought battle between them will go a long way in rejuvenating the lost interest in 205 live. Fans don’t expect a lot from this match, and thus if Enzo Amore and Kalisto are able to deliver a great match, then it will be a pleasant surprise for all.

#3 Show signs of Broken Matt Hardy's arrival

RAW needs Broken Matt Hardy right now

Matt Hardy is surprisingly not part of the TLC match card at the moment. But a last-minute addition of Matt teaming up with up Jason Jordan, to go up against The Club cannot be ruled out. And if it happens, then TLC will be the perfect opportunity to mark the arrival of Broken Matt Hardy.

The entire WWE Universe is waiting with bated breath, and it’s high time WWE gives the fans what they want. Matt Hardy deserves a push as a singles competitor more than anyone else at the moment. And with many superstars missing from the roster, including Jeff Hardy, WWE should seize this moment and strike while the iron is still hot.The advent of Broken Matt Hardy at TLC will be a 'Holy Shit' moment for sure.

#4 The main event should steal the show

This might be the most star-studded match ever

In an absolutely bizarre move, WWE is using all the star power available at its disposal for the main event of TLC. Braun Strowman, Miz, Kane, Cesaro, and Sheamus will join forces to battle The Shield, in a 5 v/s 3 handicap match. The odds are, heavily stacked against the reunited Shield. Thus, in all probability, this match is going to be a one-sided affair with some fast-paced moments towards the end.

But if WWE wants to salvage TLC, then the main event has to deliver, no matter what. TLC is the weakest PPV line-up marketed by the WWE in a long long time. But this star-studded main event might just prove to be the much-needed saving grace. If booked properly, then this match has the potential of becoming the match of the year candidate.

#5 A Non- gimmicky match between Finn Balor and Bray Wyatt

WWE should finally do justice to the potential of these two amazing fighters

Finn Balor and Bray Wyatt have fought each other for over 3 months now. But their feud has failed to generate any kind of excitement whatsoever from the fans. All of their PPV battles have been insipid and have failed miserably to generate a positive response. Thus, it comes as no surprise that their match at TLC hasn't generated any excitement within the ever-expanding WWE Universe.

With the recent addition of the Sister Abigail gimmick, fans are suspicious that their match will be full of gimmicks and antics, and less of in-ring action. With merely one other major match on the card, WWE must ensure that this match delivers. It should be a brutal, back and forth match, and not just a bunch of weird tricks weaved together.

#6 Return of "The Phenom"

Crowd will be on its feet if the gong hits this Sunday

Kane made his unexpected return to the WWE and interfered in the steel cage match between Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman. After choke slamming him twice, Kane delivered a thundering tombstone piledriver as well to a heavily battered Roman Reigns. Addition of Kane to the main event of TLC has sparked rumours of the dead man's much-awaited return to the squared circle.

If the Phenom, returns to avenge his loss to Roman Reigns or to assist The Shield against their opponents, it will be a win-win situation for all the WWE fans. The entire WWE Universe had come to terms with the fact that The Undertaker might never wrestle again.

But fans will welcome the opportunity of catching the legend back in action a few more times. If the lights go out and the gong hits this Sunday at TLC, then it will surely be The Undertaker's most awaited and surprising return to date.

Let’s hope that WWE delivers a great PPV this Sunday. And making these smart booking decisions will certainly go a long way in achieving that.
