Balor will look to gain some momentum after his feud with Corbin

Finn Balor was immediately pushed to the top when he was called up to the main roster in 2016.

Balor ended up winning The Universal Championship at Summerslam but got injured during the match because of which, he had to vacate the title next night on Raw. He returned in April, 2017 and ever since his return, he hasn’t been involved in a proper story-line and has just been competing.

He has lost many meaningful matches and has lost much of his credibility. It is believed that he was receiving this treatment as he was considered injury prone but now the company believes that Balor is indeed durable and would soon enter a title picture.

It can be understood why WWE took this approach as Dolph Ziggler was also demoted after he got injured during his World Title reign but Balor has proven that he can hang with the best and it looks like he will finally start gaining momentum, after defeating Constable Corbin at Summerslam.
