6 Things WWE subtly told us on SmackDown: Bray Wyatt's secret revealed after 6 years, Title change at Elimination Chamber revealed? (March 6th, 2020)
- An incredible episode of #SmackDown ended with an epic gauntlet match and was filled with excitement, heartbreak, and more!
#5. The end of a run?
It's a bit surprising to us that it took nearly four and a half years for Braun Strowman to win his first singles championship in WWE. Remember, this is a guy who, in 2017-18, was the hottest superstar in the company and arguably among the hottest in the entire industry.
Momentum was on his side and fans seemed to think that it was the perfect time to pull the trigger and make him Universal Champion. Except, that didn't happen. He was used to enhance Brock Lesnar and on a few occasions, Roman Reigns.
While he had two reigns as RAW Tag Team Champion, one was with a 10-year old that lasted one night, while the second reign with Seth Rollins was for storyline-purpose - with him being used at the end to put over Rollins (which wasn't a bad decision by any means).
He's facing Sami Zayn, Cesaro, and Shinsuke Nakamura, and in the nWo segment on a Moment of Bliss, he beat up Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura before Sami Zayn used Alexa Bliss as a shield to escape.
Given that he's standing tall and WWE seems to love short and transitional title reigns, Elimination Chamber's handicap match could be a way of pinning Strowman and protecting him while he loses the title.
