#5 Teasing that Kofi Kingston singles run

Kofi Kingston had a good night

Kofi Kingston hasn't been in the best form since losing his WWE Championship. After a 10-second match against Brock Lesnar that ended KofiMania, it seemed as though Kofi Kingston's run as a singles star ended, with the former WWE Champion seemingly not going after the title he just lost and instead becoming a part of the tag team again, even winning the SmackDown Tag Team titles from The Revival.

However, the latest episode of SmackDown was the first time that they teased his singles run again and we couldn't be happier about it. Kingston stood up to Corbin and Ziggler for Roman Reigns and in the first instance in two months, WWE showed that they can still present Kofi Kingston as a legitimate singles Superstar.

Following the year that he's had, there's no reason to doubt that and we believe that it was WWE dipping their toes in potentially giving Kofi Kingston another major singles push. This does, of course, depend on Xavier Woods' return status and we anticipate that he'll return at the end of the year or in early 2020, freeing up space for Kingston to go for a singles title again.
