#4 Two huge missed opportunities with The Queen's Crown on SmackDown

The quarter finals of the Queen's Crown are halfway done following SmackDown. There were two matches - Zelina Vega vs Toni Storm, and Carmella vs Liv Morgan. It must have been a heel's night, because both Vega and Carmella advanced on SmackDown.

Zelina Vega advancing shouldn't come as much of a surprise. Toni Storm is still a newcomer to SmackDown, and while many will complain about her being underutilized, it simply may take a little more time for her to get her feet on the ground.

However, Liv Morgan losing in the first round seemed to be a massive missed opportunity. It seems like she has become the Cesaro of the women's division - having the rug pulled from underneath right as she gains any bit of momentum.

Either way, two heels advancing should come as no surprise. On RAW, Doudrop vs Natalya and Shayna Baszler vs Dana Brooke will compete to reach the semi-finals of The Queen's Crown tournament. We imagine that Baszler, who recently got drafted to SmackDown, will be the favorite to win the tournament.

This means that Doudrop might be the only babyface who has any sort of success in the tournament. Since The King Of The Ring has been a tournament traditionally won by heels, the Queen's Crown lineage may start off the same. This could explain the heels' dominance on SmackDown.
