In interviews, Alexa has been open about the struggles she faced earlier in her life, specifically battling an eating disorder that nearly ruined her.
Aged 15, the toll that the disorder was taking on Bliss' body was immense. In fact, it scared her parents into tricking her into a medical check-up. Believing they were going to church, Alexa had no idea that her parents were taking her to the doctors.
It was good that they did, as a medical examiner said that Bliss' body was breaking down and if she continued as she was, she would not be alive for long. Fortunately, Bliss was able to beat the issue and now leads a healthy, fulfilled life.
