This week's Monday Night RAW may have been one of the most random and weird episodes of the programme ever. So many weird and random things happened that not a single person can say they saw coming.
It's unclear what happened to make this week's Raw so unpredictable but I personally am putting it down to Baron Corbin's unconventional General Managing ability. If this week is an indication of the nuttiness we can expect going forward then sign me up for more GM Baron Corbin!
But what are the 5 bonkers surprises that I'm talking about? Don't worry folks, I'm about to tell you right now! I guarantee you wouldn't have predicted any of these things happening.
#7. Chad Gable and Bobby Roode become new tag team
I think the last thing anyone expected would happen is that Chad Gable and Bobby Roode, two men who haven't had much to do since moving over to Raw in the Superstar Shakeup becoming a new tag-team.
However, that's exactly what happened on this week's Raw with the two formerly successful tag-team wrestlers, with Gable from American Alpha and Roode from Beer Money joining forces to form.. Wait for it ... Ready, Willing and Glorious.
#6. Dana Brooke walks out on Titus Worldwide
Why is this a surprise? After all the WWE have been teasing dissension between the Titus Worldwide members for weeks now? Well, it looked like Dana Brooke and Apollo Crews were going to split from Titus O'Neil, which isn't what happened today.
After losing a tag-team match teaming with Ember Moon to take on the Boss 'N' Hug Connection, Dana Brooke lost her temper with Crews and O'Neil and walked out on both of them.
#5. Drake Maverick joins Authors of Pain
The Mavericks of Pain might be one of the most out-of-left-field decisions I've seen the WWE make for quite a long time. The well-mannered, impartial, straight down the middle General Manager of 205 Live is now the sinister genius behind the Author's of Pain.
Don't get me wrong, I'm here for it. I love the idea of the Cruiserweight boss also managing two heavyweights in a tag-team. I love the idea of Maverick being evil on Raw but remaining the same on 205 Live and I love the idea of Maverick as a mouthpiece for the Authors, because they desperately need one. I just didn't see it coming. At all!
#4. Kevin Owens returns after quitting to attack Bobby Lashley
On last week's Monday Night Raw Kevin Owens quit after failing to win the Intercontinental Title from Seth Rollins in a great match. This led to rampant internet speculation as to what the future would hold for Kevin Owens.
Here's the thing, I read everything people were suggesting, he would stay away and lose weight, he would come back as the next Paul Heyman guy, he'd turn up at ALL IN. But no-one, and I mean absolutely no-one had that he'd be back next week and would attack Bobby Lashley trying to meditate for no reason.
#3 New Tag-Team Champions
If you had told me going into this week's Monday Night Raw that the scheduled Revival vs B Team match actually wouldn't take place because Ziggler and McIntyre would attack the Revival backstage, and then they'd replace the Revival and win the titles from B Team I'd had laughed and said something like "That sounds great but it'll never happen."
But it DID happen. Baron Corbin encouraged Ziggler and McIntyre to attack the Revival backstage and then put them in the match in their place. Ziggler and McIntyre then captured the Raw tag-team titles and their heel faction with Strowman just got a lot stronger. I think it's great!
#2. Shawn Michaels and the Undertaker share a ring together
If you didn't have goosebumps when Michaels and Taker ended up in the same ring together on this week's Monday Night Raw then you're either dead, or a could-hearted lizard person. Because I had goosebumps. Even the WWE Universe Twitter account had goosebumps.
Sure it was leaked beforehand that Undertaker was backstage, but before then I'm sure absolutely no-one would have expected that we'd see the 'Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels and the 'Phenom' in the same ring together on Monday Night Raw in 2018.
#1. Everyone attacks the Shield
Nevermind the Shield being arrested and then charged for inciting a riot, criminal damage and disorderly conduct all in the same night, the craziest thing that happened on Monday Night Raw was the entire Raw locker room (minus a few good guys) completely demolished the Shield to end the show. Tactical vest jealousy is a real thing, people.
If you had told me that Drew Gulak and Mike Bennett would help Strowman, Ziggler and McIntyre with a dozen or so other Superstars to completely annihilate the Shield I'd have simply walked away without saying a word. Wrestling in 2018 is lit folks. It's lit.
