If Punk returns to the WWE, it would be one of the biggest surprises in recent history

This is a controversial one. But hate him or love him, fans are bound to mark out if CM Punk returns to WWE.

Punk’s MMA journey has been a forgettable one so far. His UFC debut ended in a first-round defeat to Mickey Gall back in September 2016 and he has been on the sidelines ever since. At the age of 39, things do not look good for the straight edge superstar.

Another loss in the UFC almost guarantees him a release from the promotion. While other MMA organizations would be interested in having him on board, a return to the wrestling business is the better option for Punk at this age.

As for WWE’s side, they are unlikely to pass on an opportunity to pull off the biggest return in recent professional wrestling history.
