#3 The narratives of the women's division

Raw lacks hard-hitting narratives in this division
Raw lacks hard-hitting narratives in this division

The Raw women division has been the black sheep of the entire women's division in WWE, and that is due to the creative team on Raw not offering the same great material other women's wrestlers work with on SmackDown and NXT.

And that is shocking because Raw has some of the most talented women wrestlers ever to step foot in the WWE. Bayley, Sasha Banks, Ruby Riott, Ember Moon, and Ronda Rousey are the stars of tomorrow, and it's a shame that most of them had a terrible year due to Raw's creative unable to fit them in an engaging narrative.

WWE have to change that next year, as these superstars can only succeed as far as their storylines allow them.

#4 The substance of the mid-card

The mid-card has been a scary place for WWE fans

The WWE Raw mid-card has been a place where one would expect the superstars of tomorrow to be making their names, as stars such as Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, and Chris Jericho all had to toil hard in Raw's mid-card before becoming legends.

But that was only due to the talent they had to work with, as during WWE's glory days, it was much easier for those stars to succeed in the mid-card and jump to the main event, as the depth in the division was unreal.

These days, the Raw mid-card is made up of failed experiments, jobbers, & past their prime athletes, and that is the reason why Raw did terrible this year, as its foundation was weak. WWE needs to bring in some heavy firepower if they want Raw to start rebuilding itself.

#5 The entire main event scene

The Raw main event scene has been repetitive
The Raw main event scene has been repetitive

The Raw main event scene is the most important section in the WWE, as it has been clear that the main event of pay-per-views like WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Royal Rumble comes from the flagship show, and that could be the main reason why most of WWE's pay-per-views this year underwhelmed.

Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns or Braun Strowman have plagued Raw this year, as WWE refused to change the tired and boring formula which put them in a ratings slump.

If the new era is going to reboot Raw, WWE need to change the main event scene on Raw by injecting fresh matches and superstars into the fold.
