There was always hype surrounding the former UFC fighter who transitioned into pro wrestling and took to it faster than 99% of the people who enter the industry. After losing to Timothy Thatcher in a Fight Pit match, his time in NXT is officially done.

The man who was the referee of the above-mentioned match, Kurt Angle, would appear two nights later on SmackDown to announce that Matt Riddle will be joining Friday Night SmackDown - even going as far as to predict that he will be the next face of the blue brand.

There's going to be a lot of buzz surrounding The King of Bros, especially since he was told directly by Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman that the match had no chance of happening. Despite this, we believe that Riddle will become a major player for years to come and he could get an immediate push upon his SmackDown debut.
