The incidents outside the ring, often determine what happens inside the ring as well. We bring you the seven hottest topics in this feature.

Strap on your seatbelts, and read on, folks!

#1 Jinder Mahal wants to turn babyface

Do you think non-Indian crowds will cheer for him?
Do you think non-Indian crowds will cheer for him, in time?

Jinder Mahal is the embodiment of the classic foreign heel, packaged for the year 2017. His anti-American rants have taken him all the way to the top of the SmackDown Live ladder and made him the face of the brand.

However, Jinder Mahal feels that he may have more to offer than merely a heelish role. This is what he said to ESPN in an exclusive interview:

I am interested in seeing what other characters I could play. The evolution of a WWE character is such that things change and I can't wait to have a babyface character.

We are certain that Mahal will be the babyface when WWE comes to India for their big tour. Until then, he has bigger fish to fry as Mahal has challenged Lesnar to a Champion vs. Champion match at Survivor Series 2017.

#2 Sting reveals why he never wrestled The Undertaker

For as long as we can remember, fans have wanted a clash between Sting and The Undertaker, icons for their respective companies. However, the match has never come to pass. Sting revealed the reason for this. According to him, The Undertaker may not have been keen.

Sting was in Dubai where he revealed the information to Al Arabiya:

"We’ve had a brief conversation, and I just told him, I said, man, I just always wanted to have that match. It wasn’t necessarily reciprocated so I’m not sure where he stands or if he had any interest at all, to be quite honest. But I did. I don’t mind saying."

Seems like The Undertaker did not see the match in the same light as the rest of the world did, perhaps. Sadly we never got to witness the epic clash of the titans, at "the Showcase of the Immortals".

#3 Triple H's return was announced

Guess who's back in the ring once again?
Guess who's back in the ring once again?

We last saw him fall to The Kingslayer Seth Rollins at this year's edition of WrestleMania. Now, he's back again, and he's ready to conquer the ring yet again. Triple H is back in action in Santiago, Chile.

Triple H has been part of a host of activities outside the ring, especially in the NXT brand. He was recently in India as well, to promote the upcoming Live Events in New Delhi, this December. It will be interesting to see if this one-off performance leads to a longer run.

Of course, Triple H's Tweet was met with a stern reply from the US Champion.

The SmackDown brand could really use a star like Triple H to boost ratings and increase the television viewership. Let's hope he has a program with Kevin Owens or even someone like AJ Styles very soon.

#4 Shawn Michaels' return was announced, too!

Triple H's best friend returned with him
Triple H's best friend returned, only not as an active wrestler

NXT has not been the same since Adam Cole (Baybay) made his debut. He goes one-on-one with Drew McIntyre the evening before NXT Takeover: WarGames. What makes the match special is the fact that Shawn Michaels will be the special guest referee for this epic contest.

Adam Cole seemed really confident ahead of the big match:

As far as Drew, he's an impressive athlete. Drew had been chasing that NXT Championship, and he finally achieved his dream. I almost feel bad for the guy. I feel bad that after all that hard work, all the sacrifice, it's going to be taken away by me. And there's not a damn thing he can do about it.

Whatever the outcome of the match may be, we are certain there will be a few superkicks thrown during the big match.

#5 So was Kurt Angle's!

Angle makes his in-ring return after 11 years, this week!
Angle makes his in-ring return after 11 years, this week!

This was certainly the hottest news of the week. After Roman Reigns was declared unfit to compete at TLC, it was announced that Kurt Angle would be partnering with Ambrose and Rollins, at the pay-per-view.

This marks the first time the man will be in a WWE ring, after a total of 11 years. Of course, if you followed Kurt Angle outside WWE, you would have seen that he was still a very good performer. However, this still a huge deal for fans of WWE.

Let's hope that this leads to a run for the legend, heading into Survivor Series. It would be a shame to not have the Olympian enjoy one last run in the company where he first made his name.

#6 Tom Phillips got married

Now you know why Tom Phillips missed SmackDown Live this week
Now you know why Tom Phillips missed SmackDown Live this week

Michael Cole filled in for Tom Phillips, this week on SmackDown Live, and said that Phillips was away on a special assignment. The truth is that he was away celebrating his honeymoon, as the man had gotten married recently.

He will be back for this week's edition of SmackDown Live, and things will be back to normal again. We must say that we really enjoyed Michael Cole on commentary in this week's episode of the show. His enthusiasm about calling a Nakamura match was infectious.

#7 Enzo Amore made a shocking allegation

Enzo did not just say that!
Enzo did not just say that!

At a recent WWE Live Event, Enzo was to face Kalisto, when he said the following words to the Luchador:

I took care of Cass, then made Neville quit. You're nothing

Of course, Enzo is alluding to the recent speculation that Neville walked out of Monday Night RAW. He turned the real-life incident into an angle.

This promises to be an absolutely packed week of sports entertainment action and we promise to serve it fresh to you, as it happens. Stay tuned to SportsKeeda Wrestling, for all the latest.
