You have to give it to WWE, for a company that's now known to fast-track everything on their plate like it was about to expire. they've really played the long game with Drew McIntyre. The Scotsman had an interesting if somewhat tepid NXT run upon his return to the company. This is mostly due to injury and that he didn't belong there in the first place.

Now on the main roster, Drew has thrived in his hard-nosed role as the heavy to Dolph Ziggler. While it may seem he's shadowing the diminutive Ziggler, it's clear WWE sees far more potential in the Scottish Psychopath. The moment this team breaks apart, Dolph will be back to doing what he does but Drew will elevate himself to a whole other level.

Even then it's interesting that this his first pay per view match since his return to the main roster. It'll be fun to see how Drew McIntyre performs on the big stage.
