9 Superstars that WWE Creative has completely forgotten about

Will Vince McMahon push or lose these talents?
Will Vince McMahon push or lose these talents?

We're only one month into 2019 and it's already proving to be an explosive year for wrestling, with companies outwith WWE starting somewhat of an uprising and giving several wrestlers a certain type of leverage that's been missing for a long time when it comes to contract negotiations.

Follow Sportskeeda for the latest WWE news, rumors and all other wrestling news and rumors.

WWE is notorious for stockpiling talent and, with so many shows and the risk of injuries, you can kind of see why - but this does come with its pitfalls. When you have so much talent in one place, it's only logical that not everyone can hit the top and achieve their full potential - and of course, that leaves others unhappy.

With eight Superstars already requesting their release or deciding to run down their contracts with WWE, it's pretty clear to see that several talents have decided that it's worth checking out if the grass is greener on the other side.

Superstars like Heath Slater and Curt Hawkins have seen themselves get more TV time recently, but who could be next?

With The Revival notoriously requesting their release and speaking out about their booking, or lack of, it made me think about what other Superstars are seemingly on the wrong side of WWE Creative's priorities - and who could potentially see the grass as being greener next.

Well, we're running down the top five wrestlers that WWE either has to push or may risk losing.

#9 Tye Dillinger

Dillinger's main roster career hasn't quite been a 10
Dillinger's main roster career hasn't quite been a 10

Well, Tye Dillinger's main roster debut was a perfect 10! Dillinger debuted in the Royal Rumble to a rapturous ovation from No. 10, and the 37-year-old veteran is probably one of WWE's most over talents when he comes out from behind the curtain - sadly, though, the problem is that... Well, he never does.

Dillinger is an incredible in-ring talent who's effectively made a great gimmick out of a number - but WWE just doesn't use him. Dillinger has never held a title in WWE and was in NXT for a long time, but his main roster run has essentially been a damp squib.

Sadly, it just hasn't worked out for Dillinger, whose talent seems almost wasted in short matches every once in a blue moon.

#8 Bo Dallas

Bo Dallas took NXT by storm
Bo Dallas took NXT by storm

Bo Dallas was once the longest reigning NXT Champion and had an impressive main roster debut in the Royal Rumble where he lasted 20 minutes and eliminated the then Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett, and then defeated him again in singles action the next night on RAW. He even defeated Dolph Ziggler and The Great Khali during an initial win streak.

However, it all went downhill for Dallas after he defeated Mark Henry three times in singles and tag team action.

Well, immediately after that when Mark Henry effectively squashed Bo in a Hell In A Cell pre-show match. The former NXT Champion then had a four-month spell on the sidelines that effectively killed his singles push.

Bo's return saw him tell Sting to Bo-lieve to be greeted with a Scorpion Death Drop, and also interrupt Brock Lesnar to be decimated by The Beast Incarnate.

Spells in the Social Outcasts and The Miztourage have saw Dallas get rare TV time, but his singles push seems well and truly gone.

#7 Curtis Axel

Curtis Axel was paired with Paul Heyman at one stage in the WWE

As we know all too well, having a famous parent in wrestling can be either a blessing or a curse. For Curtis Axel, being the son of 'Mr. Perfect' Curt Hennig didn't seem to hinder him at all under the name Michael McGillicutty in NXT.

Axel was the runner-up of season two of NXT in its original contest form and even represented Nexus on the main brand, before returning to NXT as the top star he was before leaving.

While he was never an NXT Champion, he was always highly rated and was even paired with Paul Heyman upon his main roster call-up.

Everything looked great on paper. With Heyman by his side, Curtis Axel won the Intercontinental Championship, but Brock Lesnar's advocate left Axel behind before he had even dropped the belt - which didn't take too long to follow.

The Axe Man was so forgettable without Heyman that he was sadly named 'Mr. Irrelevant' for a spell, before joining the Social Outcasts and sadly being known more for bumbling promos than his in-ring prowess.

Something needs to change for Axel.

#6 Dana Brooke

Dana Brooke has started to make some headway, but not enough
Dana Brooke has started to make some headway, but not enough

Dana Brooke is an odd one. When we do see her, she absolutely smashes it - but we just never see her.

Brooke has always been highly valued as a talent outside the ring, being Emma's mouthpiece before crunching the numbers for Titus Worldwide. Sadly, though, inside the ring we have seen Brooke lose in quick succession time and time again.

Dana Brooke has gained quite the cult following while on RAW with fans always clamouring to see her compete, and Brooke herself has even taken some jabs at WWE Creative. Will she be pushed, or will she leave?

#5 The Ascension

Konnor and Viktor need to be pushed or leave WWE
Konnor and Viktor need to be pushed or leave WWE

There's two for the price of one at number three as NXT's longest reigning Tag Team Champions and one of the most dominant forces in NXT history have completely fallen out of favour in WWE.

Whenever the Ascension are in the ring, you can almost guarantee their opposition is going to win, and most likely in super-quick time while, in NXT, the pair destroyed everything in their path, including legendary WWE tag team Too Cool and the Lucha Dragons.

On the main roster, though, the most recent thing of note we've seen from them was the odd cameo in Fashion Files segments.

It hasn't always been like that, though. The Ascension had a great start on the main roster, but it was just that.

The pair fell to nWo's Scott Hall, Kevin Nash and X-Pac, before being laid out by the APA and the New Age Outlaws. While The Ascension got a win over Billy Gunn and Road Dogg, things quickly went downhill for them.

#4 Primo & Epico

Will The Colons ever be pushed?
Will The Colons ever be pushed?

Primo and Epico have been in WWE a long time, but they were most recently drafted to Smackdown Live in 2017 and underwent a name change - becoming The Colons rather than their previous name of the Shining Stars.

They had previously been known as Los Matadores, but The Colons looked like a throwback to when they were at their most successful when they were simply named Primo and Epico.

The former Tag Team Champions got off to a flyer on the blue brand with a victory against American Alpha but injuries have hampered any kind of push for the pair. Will they ever be "trusted" by WWE to stay fit and be pushed as the top team they are?

#3 Tyler Breeze

Tyler Breeze has been MIA
Tyler Breeze has been MIA

Well, with Fandango, Breeze has made lemonade out of lemons, but sadly the lemon supply ran out when the former got injured - leaving Breeze in limbo.

The Fashion Police's Fashion Files segments plucked Breeze from the cold and made him a huge fan favourite, but Prince Pretty is now back on his own.

Where to start with Tyler Breeze as a singles competitor? A mainstay of the NXT brand during his time there, always the almost man, lingering about the main event scene and even wrestling a certain Jushin Thunder Liger. Breeze spent five years in NXT and always seemed like he was the next man to get a shot at the NXT Championship, but it never quite happened for him.

Breeze debuted on the main roster, though, in a rivalry with Dolph Ziggler that never quite took off and somehow ended up going on a 20-match losing streak. Could it be time for a push?

#2 No Way Jose

Should Jose be off TV? No Way, Jose!
Should Jose be off TV? No Way, Jose!

No Way Jose's call-up to WWE's main roster was a huge shock - particularly as his NXT run wasn't particularly lighting the world on fire. Jose has been restricted to incredibly short segments and losses in WWE.

While he's getting some TV time, it's really just for ten seconds of comedy value before he's completely forgotten.

In almost a year of being on the main roster, all we know about Jose is he likes dancing. While that may work, smiling on your way to the ring, losing a quick match and disappearing seems like a huge waste of talent. WWE needs to push, or lose, Jose.

#1 Luke Harper

Does Harper have a future?
Does Harper have a future?

Luke Harper is an enigma - not just because of his character, but as to how he hasn't had a huge push in WWE.

Harper was first signed by the WWE in 2012 under the company’s developmental territory of FCW, which was rebranded to NXT later that year, and would very quickly align himself with Bray Wyatt under the moniker of The Wyatt Family, being known as the “first son” with Erick Rowan being known as the “second son”.

While in NXT, Harper and Rowan successfully won the NXT Tag Team Championships and Harper then won his first singles championship when he captured the WWE Intercontinental Title after moving to the main roster.

After a short stint in the main event scene and what seemed to be the beginning of a huge singles push, Harper and Rowan would be reunited as the Bludgeon Brothers - one of WWE's most dominant teams and the current SmackDown Tag Team Champions before Rowan's injury shelved those plans.

Now, though, Erick Rowan has aligned with Daniel Bryan after his injury, so where does that leave Harper?
