A look at the achievements of the 3 Members of The Shield

The Shield is known as the most influential and arguably the most successful faction in the WWE. The trio has come across many factions, such as The New Day, Evolution, and the Dogs of War, and has still managed to come across each time.

Together, the three men have won every single men’s championship that exists in the WWE today, which is beyond remarkable, and shows how much value the trio have in the WWE.

Sadly, for the fans, the faction has once again disbanded due to Roman Reigns’ battle with leukaemia, and Dean Ambrose’s turn on Seth Rollins. These reasons have marked the end of The Shield once again, and it is unclear whether the group will ever reunite or not under the current circumstances.

Since all three members of the faction are extremely talented, famous, and successful, we’ve decided to evaluate their success and championship wins in the company. Let’s take a look at which member has been the most successful thus far in the WWE today.

#3 Dean Ambrose

Total Championships: 6

There's a reason for his bitterness
There's a reason for his bitterness

The lunatic of the team, and probably the most diverse character that held the act together. Dean Ambrose is an extremely impressive superstar who has succeeded more than anyone could have imagined.

He didn’t have the looks or the physique to become the top superstar, but he defied all odds to get to the top of the roster. His recent return after injury has helped him look bigger and badder than ever before.

Dean Ambrose, has a single World Heavyweight Championship to his name, along with two Intercontinental titles and two Raw Tag Team titles (both with Seth Rollins). However, his most impressive and longest run was with the United States Championship which he held for a record period.

Dean has also won the Money in the Bank briefcase in 2016. Ambrose's first title win was the US Championship which he won as a part of The Shield, while his two tag team championships with Seth Rollins has come at a time when the Shield was not united.

#2 Roman Reigns

Total Championships: 7

Is he really the favourite?
Is he really the favourite?

Roman Reigns has been seen as the centrepiece of The Shield. He has been the powerhouse of the three men team and been used effectively by the WWE.

In total, Roman Reigns has won seven championships on the main roster. This includes three World Heavyweight Championships, one Universal Championship, one United States Championship, one Intercontinental Championship, and a tag team championship.

Apart from that, he is the 2015 Royal Rumble winner and has main evented WrestleMania on more than one occasion. He was also chosen by the company as the man to end The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak, which says a lot about his value to the company.

Roman Reigns’ only tag team championship has come with his Shield partner Seth Rollins. Apart from that, he has been mostly pushed as a solo wrestler, rather than a team player. This is evident from the fact that he has only one tag team title out of a total of seven championships, while his other two Shield partners have excelled at tag team action as well as individual wrestling.

#1 Seth Rollins

Total Championships: 10

A champion from the start

Seth Rollins is arguably the best wrestler in the three-man team, and possibly also in the WWE today. He was the brains and the backbone of The Shield, and therefore he’s known as The Architect. This has made him the most decorated wrestler that existed in the faction.

Rollins is one of the most successful wrestlers in the WWE today. He made initial impacts by winning the NXT Gold Rush Tournament in 2012, and the NXT Championship, becoming the only Shield Member to do so.

Apart from that, he has a total of nine main roster championships to his name. That says everything about his value to the company. Seth has played both a heel and a face for the company extremely well and has, therefore, become one of the most loved superstars in the business today.

Seth has won the tag team championship on four occasions. Out of four, he’s won three tag championships with his brothers in the Shield, while he has won the championship once with Jason Jordan. Apart from that, he’s won the Intercontinental Championship twice, the United States Championship once, and the World Heavyweight Championship twice. He is definitely a future prospect for the Universal Championship too.

Even though he has accomplished a lot in his past, his most iconic moments will always be turning his back on The Shield and joining the Authority, and cashing in his Money in the Bank contract to win the championship.
