This week’s Smack Down show featured a promo in which the Intercontinental Champion Bad News Barrett cuts a promo on Dean Ambrose and takes over the mic. Also the screen before Bad News displays “BNZ”.It appears to be a new gimmick by Barrett who changed his former intials to BNZ probably “Bad News Zone” just akin to TMZ’s logo, the “Ten Mile Zone.” Barrett signs off in the promo after promoting his new contrivance and asking fans to follow “BNZ” for more updates.
The NXT Tag Team Champions Wesley Blake and Buddy Murphy were in news recently when the WWE’s website put a new post referring them by their first names. To note, at NXT live events the two stars are popular as Blake and Murphy. Murphy, in a recent interview commented on making new record with their title win:
“This isn’t just an accomplishment for me but for my home country. This title makes me the first Australian-born Superstar to ever hold a WWE championship.”
Blake seemed confident and commented about the two forming a tag team:
“Murphy and I started in NXT right when the Performance Center opened in July 2013. We instantly hit it off. We hung out all the time like brothers, with the exception of living together. Murphy and I basically made a vow that we wanted to be a team that would bring a different kind of energy to the tag team division. I honestly believe we can do a lot of things that other teams just aren’t capable of, and now that we’ve made a statement with these titles, we plan to keep shocking and awing everyone every week.”
A quick stock update for WWE: Yesterday the WWE stock showed rise by 2.08%, closing at $12.76 per share.The high for the day was $12.94 and the low was $12.24.
