The officials were at fault again this week on Dynamite
#1. What was that referee?
Private Party picked up the win over Santana and Ortiz
Proud 'N' Powerful took on Private Party this week on AEW, but it wasn't all straight forward for the two teams involved. Santana and Ortiz proved why they are now going by their Proud and Powerful name when they dominated Private Party throughout the match, but there was one spot that many fans saw as the biggest botch of the night.

Isiah Cassidy had Ortis in a pin after the sunset flip, and the referee was about to count the three, but the spot should have seen Santana pull him out of the ring. Instead, Santana missed his cue so the referee had to improvise and act as though it happened when it didn't.
Jim Ross tried to cover for the botch by saying that he believed the referee didn't think that Ortis was legal so Cassidy couldn't pin him, but that wasn't the case since Ortiz himself tried for a pin a few seconds later and the referee was fine to make the count.
There have been a number of referee errors on AEW TV recently, which is a shame since the product is really starting to improve.
