SCU are the first-ever AEW Tag Team Champions

The main event of this week's AEW Dynamite saw SCU and The Lucha Bros. battle it out to crown the first AEW Tag Team Champions. Things were looking great for The Lucha Bros, for most of the match since SCU seemingly had the strength advantage, but Frankie Kazarian was on top form.

His luck looked as though it ran out towards the end of the match though when he delivered a head scissors over the ropes to Rey Fenix but didn't get the trajectory that he required. Instead, he landed head and shoulders first on the hardest part of the canvas which went on to take him out of the rest of the match.

Whilst Kazarian was able to help his partner Scorpio Sky pick up the win, it seemed like it could have been a rushed finish since it was clear that Kazarian was hurt and wouldn't have been able to complete whatever the original plan was.

Sky rolled up Pentagon for the pin to win the Tag Team Championships whilst Frankie ran in and took out Fenix in the corner to ensure that there was no interference.
