Coming into Fyter Fest, not many people gave Darby Allin a chance against Cody, but his relentless attitude and desire to stand out kept him in this match longer than expected.

Cody was on the offensive for the most part of the match, and Allin made him look incredible, but as the match went on, the crowd got behind the underdog more and more.

This was fantastic booking from AEW, as they look to develop more stars going forward, and on this night, it's Darby Allin that most people will remember. The match featured a couple of scary bumps from Allin, and when we came to the end of the bout, it was clear the draw was imminent, but it's simply great booking.

Unfortunately, the botched post-match angle overshadowed this match, and while some people will be unhappy with the time limit draw, it protected both men while making Darby look like a future star in the company.
