Lance Archer vs Joey Janela
The second match of AEW Fytser Fest night 2 saw Joey Janela go one-on-one with Lance Archer. Janela really had the cards stacked against him on this one against the monstrous Lance Archer.
Janela threw everything he had at Archer, countering an attempt at The Blackout before connecting with a perfectly timed Superkick. As Jake Archer had the referee distracted, both Janela and his tag-team partner hit Archer with moves from the top rope although this wasn't enough to keep the big man down. Janela tried to pin Archer but the Murderhawk kicked out at 2.
Archer had had enough by this point. Janela took his eyes off the prize for a second and it gave Archer the opening the monster had been waiting for. Archer hit Janela with a blackout from the apron, through a table set up at ringside below. Archer then pinned Janela to put him away.
AEW Results - Lance Archer def. Joey Janela
Taz was out next with Brian Cage. Taz took out his old FTW World Championship belt and said that although no promotion recognized it, he said AEW fans knew whoever carried it was one of the baddest men in wrestling. He then handed the title over to Brian Cage ahead of next week's AEW World Championship against Jon Moxley.
