What's the story?

AEW has signed both Orange Cassidy and Marko Stunt. The company officially announced Orange Cassidy's signing on their YouTube channel while Marko Stunt announced it via Twitter.

In case you didn't know..

Orange Cassidy is one of the more interesting wrestlers on the independent circuit. His gimmick is akin to someone who is lazy or is uninterested while in the ring. He famously wears sunglasses and wrestles with his hands in his pockets. The best analogy to describe Orange Cassidy is that he is both athletic and lethargic in the ring.

Marko Stunt may be small but is extremely agile in the ring. He stands at 5'2" and goes by the nickname "Mr. Fun Size."

He was recently seen in the Casino Battle Royale at Double or Nothing and also accompanied Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy at Fight for the Fallen. At the time, it was unknown whether he was officially part of AEW.

Marko Stunt announced via Twitter that on his birthday he is now officially a member of the AEW Roster.

It’s my 23rd birthday, and I can’t think of another way to celebrate, than by announcing something huge! I would like to announce that I have OFFICIALLY signed with AEW. Thank you to everyone who has supported me, and everyone at AEW! This is just the beginning.

What's next?

When compared to the rest of the AEW roster, these t new signings are unique. If anything, they both might be comedy acts, which goes against the theme of the sports-oriented presentation the company is striving for. But wrestling fans will have to wait and see what All Elite Wrestling does with them.
