What's the story?

Jon Moxley has made headlines all over the world by jumping ship from WWE to AEW. Now, finally free of the restrictions that WWE placed on him, Dean Ambrose aka Moxley, has been wandering the Independent Scene and other promotions like NJPW.

Now, at Northeast Wrestling's Brass City Brawl event, he made an appearance and faced Darby Allin in a match. He had a message for the fans after the match was over.

In case you didn't know...

Dean Ambrose, aka Jon Moxley, shocked the world when he announced his intention to leave WWE officially earlier this year. Everyone expected a twist, but when the time came it was an actual farewell from him.

He then shocked the world again by appearing at AEW's first pay-per-view event, Double or Nothing. By doing so, he put to rest any rumours there were of him doing a round of the Indies before returning to WWE again.

At AEW: Double or Nothing, he attacked Chris Jericho and a referee, before turning his attention to Kenny Omega and decimating him.

Most recently, he faced Shota Umino at NJPW: Dominion, beating him and then apparently adopting him.

The heart of the matter

Jon Moxley had a pretty wild match at Northeast Wrestling, where he faced Darby Allin in a match that went a full 20 minutes. During the match, there was a spot where he tied Darby Allin's hands behind his back, but the Superstar still managed to put up a fight.

Eventually, Ambrose ended the match by hitting Allin with a Death Rider for the 3-count. After the match was over, he sent a message to the fans.

Ambrose made it clear to the fans that they were lucky to have wrestlers like Darby Allin as he was one of the most passionate wrestlers in the world. He also said that Allin would soon be an extremely big star.

"Because Darby Allin is one crazy b*****d. You guys are fortunate enough to be in a high school gym like this tonight to see independent wrestling, up close and personal, with the most passionate types of wrestlers you'll find anywhere in the world right now. I didn't even know who this guy was before this week, but I'm telling you right now, you better be damn grateful that you got to be here tonight and witness Darby Allin. Sometimes, crazy equals money, and Darby Allin is going to be a big star real soon."

Ambrose also told the fans that being in a high school gym for the event, they were the lucky ones.

What's next?

Jon Moxley is set to make his AEW in-ring debut at AEW: Fyter Fest on the 29th of June. There, he will be facing Joey Janela, who has been vocal about wanting to put an end to Dean Ambrose.

Darby Allin will also be on the card, as he is scheduled to face Cody Rhodes, in what could be one of the biggest matches of his career so far.
