AEW signs independent female wrestler Big Swole to expanding roster

It was reported last month that Big Swole had impressed everyone in her Dark match with AEW and was offered a contract on the spot. It was not confirmed if this was true or not. Fightful Select reporter Jeremy Lambert was able to confirm the news with her at the recently concluded WrestleCade over the weekend.

Big Swole has been impressive in her AEW Dark matches and is certainly quite good in the ring. Moreover, she's very good on the mic and has the charisma to really dominate this women's division. There's no telling how far she can go.

Her recent match with Shanna received excellent reviews and showcased both women in the ring and their ability to tell a story inside the squared circle.

Who is Big Swole?

Big Swole was formerly known as Ariel Monroe and has been on the independent professional wrestling circuit since 2015. She was also a participant in the Mae Young Classic. She made her AEW debut at All Out but was not actually signed to a contract until now.

It'll be interesting to see where Swole finds herself in the women's division which is slowly becoming formidable with the likes of Awesome Kong, Nyla Rose, Britt Baker, Penelope Ford and more.
