From the WWE Rumor Mill: Alexa Bliss not on WWE South Africa tour because of minor surgery

What's the story?

Alexa Bliss was advertised for the WWE RAW tour in South Africa but has missed every show so far, with no reason officially announced by the WWE.

However, postwrestling.com have reported that Bliss is recovering from minor surgery, which is why she's not on the tour and also hasn't been on WWE television since WrestleMania.

In case you didn't know...

Bliss lost the Raw Women's title to Nia Jax at WrestleMania and was on the Raw afterwards, but hasn't been seen on live WWE programming since only appearing in a backstage segment during last week's Monday Night Raw.

Initially, it seemed that 'The Goddess' was just taking some time off after 'Mania as she indicated on Instagram that she had gone home, with the belief that she'd be back for the tour of South Africa. This wasn't the case.

The heart of the matter

Postwrestling.com has reported that the reason why Bliss has been absent from in-ring competition, live television appearances and the South Africa tour is because she's recovering from 'minor injury.'

Alexa Bliss recently had minor cosmetic surgery following WrestleMania. We were told that she is expected back soon and is still scheduled for the Backlash event on Sunday, May 6th

As you can see above, the expectation at the moment is that Bliss will be ready and recovered in time for Backlash, however, she was advertised for the tour and didn't attend so there's a chance she could miss the show as well, although unlikely.

It's not certain at this time what kind of cosmetic surgery it is.

What's next?

Currently, Bliss is due for a title rematch against Nia Jax at Backlash where the 'Goddess' will attempt to win back the Raw Women's Title she lost at WrestleMania.

Again, that match is still due to take place.
