As of this writing, there has been no word on a merger with CBS but Viacom has done a bit of rebranding in the last few months. Most notably the name change of Spike to Paramount Network. In January when talks of WWE tv deal negotiations were ongoing it was noted Viacom was interested in getting back into the ring but this time they wanted it to be on their watch.

The company reportedly would rather buy a company outright as they did with Bellator MMA in 2011. Ring Of Honor would be the perfect company for this if the majority of their crew and workers remained put.
