WWE superstar and former United States champion Antonio Cesaro recently wrestled Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel in a match that almost lasted 30 minutes, at WWE’s recent live event ‘Down Under’ at Sydney, Australia.
Even though Cesaro lost the match to the champion, he received tremendous support from the crowd. The “We the People” chants echoed around the arena as Cesaro put up an impressive performance. The match between the two superstars also was said to be the “match of the night”.
Cesaro continues to receive the “match of the night” and “match of the year” mentions despite associating himself with the ‘Real Americans’ heel faction. It is left to be seen if he the WWE makes amends to Cesaro’s role.
