SmackDown kicked off with high anticipation about CM Punk's presence in his home town of Chicago tonight.

He reunited with a very distressed Paul Heyman who was carrying the weight of The Bloodline's antics. Three Money in the Bank qualifying matches were held, with surprising victors.

LA Knight called out Logan Paul to challenge him for the United States Championship but was interrupted by Santos Escobar. And it was announced that the three men would be in a qualifying match next week. The US Champion's addition to a match where the winner gets a title opportunity leaves little to the imagination.

This week's edition of WWE SmackDown held the wrestling world in an intense grip as some speculated Uncle Howdy and Wyatt Sicks making a statement again. Let's take a look at the best and worst from the event:

Best: Andrade, Chelsea Green and Carmelo Hayes qualify for Money in the Bank

WWE SmackDown held three Money in the Bank qualifying matches tonight where Carmelo Hayes, Andrade and Chelsea Green emerged winners.

Green has been teaming with Piper Niven and was seen as a tag team competitor. Last year, there were rumors about Chelsea Green becoming a singles wrestler and taking on a more serious role.

Carmelo Hayes is a huge up-and-comer on the main roster. The former NXT Champion carved a niche for himself on the brand before his big move to WWE SmackDown. He was not afraid to take on Cody Rhodes barely minutes into his main roster elevation.

Andrade almost found himself on the list of fan-forgotten WWE stars. He returned to the company earlier this year but hardly had a handful of matches before becoming the Speed Champion. His limited television appearances saw a rise in mockery from fans but the Money in the Bank qualifying win leaves some hope for his WWE future.

Worst: Solo Sikoa's version of The Bloodline gets a new member on WWE SmackDown

Solo Sikoa has been running his own show on SmackDown for the past two months ever since Roman Reigns took off from WWE television.

The Tribal Heir stood up to the role and anointed himself the new Bloodline leader. Jimmy Uso and he seemed to have a few disagreements before his injury. This left him with Paul Heyman by his side, and Sikoa took it upon himself to recruit Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa.

On the latest edition of WWE SmackDown, Cody Rhodes was slated to face Solo Sikoa in the main event. When Tonga and Loa interrupted, Kevin Owens and Randy Orton showed up to even the numbers game, but they were in for a surprise, with Jacob Fatu laying everyone to waste following the main event.

Solo Sikoa has been adding 'his own guys' to the group which was started by Roman Reigns. The young star wants to cement his spot and seems willing to go to any length to ensure his primacy. So much so that he has Paul Heyman so terrified that he begged CM Punk for help.

Furthermore, let's not forget Solo Sikoa stating that 'Roman Reigns is not coming back,' begging the question of his intentions in WWE.

Best: Drew McIntyre returns and brutally attacks CM Punk on WWE SmackDown

An infuriated and frustrated Drew McIntyre quit on WWE RAW this week after losing at Clash at the Castle for a second time. He faced Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship in his home country, Scotland, but an unfortunate distraction by CM Punk cost him severely.

This week, WWE SmackDown was held in Chicago who gladly welcomed CM Punk back. Punk even had a brief reunion with a heartbroken Paul Heyman, who was seeking aid to get out of The Bloodline.

Later, a backstage segment between Grayson Waller and DIY was interrupted by Drew McIntyre standing over a bloody CM Punk. The Scottish Warrior carried Punk on his shoulders to the ramp and dropped him there. He took a bracelet, which seeming had Punk's wife and dog's name etched on it, and slid it in his pocket.

Check out the segment here.

McIntyre did not utter a word during the whole segment, portraying his wrath and abhorrence for CM Punk. The latter is not medically cleared to compete yet and it is only a matter of time before the two stand opposite each other in a WWE ring to get their vengeance.
