WWE News: Big E Reveals reason for change in New Day's attire
What's the story?
Big E recently took to Twitter to clear the air about New Day's choice of attire on WWE Smackdown this week. He stated that it was in honor of the Black History month and stated that they will take some time to acknowledge their heritage.
In case you didn't know...
The New day was a faction created in 2014 and has Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods as members. Although, initially New Day were faces but their gimmick was not well received by the fans which led to a heel turn eventually.
The New day went on to turn face again and have held the Tag Team Championships 4-times and also have a record 483 days reign beating the record formerly held by the team known as Demolition.
The heart of the matter
New Day supported a change in attire and wore kente, which is a traditional African Gear in support of the Black History Month.
The New Day have not been part of any major program ever since their feud with the Usos ended spot will be interesting to see.
Here is the tweet that Big E had sent:
The New day have been out of Tag Team Title contention for quite some time and further plans for them are unknown. It is possible that the trio might enter into a feud with the budding and fan-favorite team of Rusev and Aiden English given their recent backstage altercations.
It is great that the New Day have made these changes to their attire and are focussing on their heritage. This not only shows how proud they are of the black history month but will also give fans an insight into traditional African attire.
We hope more Superstars come out and embrace their origins just like the New Day have.
