5 potential WWE Championship Matches for Big E

#4 Big E vs. AJ Styles

AJ Styles last won the WWE Championship in 2017

While Big E and Styles may seem like an odd pairing at first, it also holds a lot of potential.

Styles can boast that not only is he and Omos the best tag team on RAW, but that he's also far superior to the brand's new champ. Styles and Omos can then defeat Kingston and Woods to officially set up the bout.

Again, this one benefits from having multiple men on both sides of the equation. There are several singles and tag matches that can be made between these men, all of which are fresh and will be of high standard.

Additionally, Styles is one of the very best talents and having him take on Big E would be smart. Styles will ensure the match between the pair is exceptional, and a victory for Big E will add a ton of credibility to him as a new star in the company.

The bout could also continue to build intrigue around Omos as he can take out Kingston and Woods at ringside during the match. This will create intrigue in Omos and he can himself challenge Big E for the belt himself in the not-so-distant future.

#3 Big E vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Goldberg

While many may rather see Big E vs. Lashley in a singles match, there's no reason fans can't get both. Big E taking on Lashley in a singles match at Extreme Rules and winning due to a still-injured Lashley will only further cement the New Day member as a fighting champion.

The next night, Lashley can appear via satellite and inform Big E and The New Day that he will be out of action until Crown Jewel when he will once again challenge for the title. Big E can seem unimpressed at the lack of a new challenger in the weeks building up to the event in Saudi Arabia.

Lashley can then explain that Big E need not worry and introduce a fresh challenger who will complete their upcoming triple threat match. Goldberg can then storm to the ring and confront Big E to set up this potential match.

This bout could work as we could see Big E overcome two of WWE's top stars early in his reign, establishing him as a worthy champion. Lashley and Big E could also shoulder the load in the ring, allowing Goldberg to explode in short bursts which is his strong suit as his career begins to wind down.
