SK Exclusive: Bobby Lashley comments on the upcoming McGregor-Mayweather fight

Bobby Lashley believes that Mayweather will stop McGregor

When it comes to the upcoming Floyd Mayweather/Connor McGregor fight, Bobby Lashley has a pretty unique perspective. He's a former WWE Superstar and even competed in a marquee match at WrestleMania in 2007 - something Mayweather himself did the following year. On the other hand, both Lashley and McGregor are accomplished MMA fighters - although the Irishman has competed on a much larger stage.

In a recent conference call conducted by GFW, Lashley - who has recently been training in boxing with Mayweather's people - stated that it's been primarily fan interest that has fueled the entire event.

As far as McGregor's chances in a boxing match against the undefeated Mayweather, Lashley isn't particularly confident. Calling McGregor "very skilled" at MMA, he points out that the UFC Lightweight champion is new to boxing, and that Mayweather will probably expose him in many areas during the fight. While Mayweather is not known for his punching power, he adds, he expects the Floyd to win by stoppage in four or five rounds.

The Mayweather/McGregor fight takes place on August 26, 2017, in Las Vegas, NV.
