After a long absence from WWE, Bobby Lashley officially departed from the Stamford-based promotion. Lashley's last televised match for the company came on the April 12 edition of SmackDown, in which he lost a triple threat match to LA Knight and Santos Escobar.
While Bobby Lashley has not made any appearances for WWE on television since the above-mentioned match, it seems like Lashley will be making his final appearance for WWE a day after tonight's RAW. The 48-year-old superstar is scheduled to be a part of the August 20th episode of Celebrity Family Feud.
This episode will feature Team WWE Men vs. Team WWE Women. Lashley will be joined by Angelo Dawkins, Montez Ford, Austin Theory, and LA Knight. Mia Yim, Jade Cargill, Bianca Belair, Zelina Vega, and Sonya Deville will represent the women.
Bobby Lashley appearing on the show despite being released from WWE is because the show was most likely shot in advance, and will be aired on August 20th. It will be interesting to see how Lashley did on the show and it will also be worth keeping an eye on developments about his professional wrestling career.
Wrestling legend slams Bobby Lashley's comment about his relationship with Triple H
Bobby Lashley was around WWE for quite a while, and during his time with the promotion, he earned the respect of fans and his colleagues. However, in a recent interview, Lashley spoke about his relationship with Triple H and mentioned that he did not have a close working relationship with The Game.
Lashley also added his relationship with Vince McMahon was better. This comment made by the former WWE Champion was heavily criticized by former SmackDown GM Teddy Long. During an episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's The Wrestling Time Machine, Long said:
"Well, Triple H is his own man, Vince is his own man. At the end of the day, Vince was still the boss but Triple H has power too. I don't understand what he's [Bobby Lashley] talking about. There's no such thing as having a relationship with one guy and having a relationship with another guy. Both of these guys are the boss. What are you trying to say—that I can go to this guy to save me? I really don't understand what he's talking about." [From 3:50 onwards]
While Lashley's time with WWE has come to an end, it will be interesting to see if he wrestles for a promotion like TNA or AEW. It will also be interesting to see if he returns to WWE in some other capacity in the near future.
