Presuming WWE goes down a similar route to last year and puts each brand's champions against each other, Joe as WWE champion would take on whoever was Universal champion on Raw, let's presume it's still Roman Reigns. The two could put the terrible Backlash main event behind them and this time Joe could get the win, a result that would appease many fans who didn't enjoy the last match and one that would keep Reigns looking strong given he holds the win in their previous match together. Styles, Miz and Bryan can all take part in the classic 5-on-5 elimination tag match forming part of a very dysfunctional Smackdown team.

Samoa Joe vs. AJ Styles vs. The Miz vs. Daniel Bryan

Joe's evil ways can frustrate general manager Paige into placing Joe into a multi-man TLC match at the TLC pay-per-view. Miz and Bryan can claim their both in line for a title shot following their No.1 contenders match at Super Showdown and Styles can force his way into the match attacking his bitter rival Joe at every opportunity. The match ought to be chaotic and the wealth of different elements allows for a finish that keeps everyone involved looking strong. With Joe closing in on victory, Styles can take both himself and Joe out of the running due to his personal feud. Bryan can then seem on the cusp of winning before Miz can appear, dumb Bryan of the ladder and claim an unexpected victory.
