Joe can be the loud-mouth bully he currently is and he can keep much of his current rhetoric for this feud, targeting the Miz's wife Maryse and bringing up their newly-born child. Miz can be his typical cowardly self and wiling to sink as low as necessary to preserve himself and his title. Ultimately, Miz should find a way to pick up the win as killing off his momentum after a title win would be nonsensical. In the Rumble match, Bryan ought to get his overdue win and set up a massive Miz versus Bryan match at WrestleMania.

With Contenders like Joe, Styles and Bryan queueing up for a shot at Miz's title, Miz can announce an important film commitment he will have on the night of Elimination Chamber and rule himself out of a chamber match or any other title bout. Bryan will look to keep in good shape following his rumble win and will enter himself into an exhibition match at the pay-per-view. Miz can then appear and brutalize Bryan focusing his attack on Bryan's head and calling into question whether Bryan will even be able to compete at WrestleMania.
