#2 Shouldn't the referee have been counting?

Asuka faced Billie Kay in a match that contained a number of botches this week on SmackDown Live, but one of the biggest was when Asuka locked in an ankle lock whilst Kay was through the ropes holding hands with her partner Peyton Royce.

The referee was just shouting at Kay to let go of Royce when he actually should have been counting since Kay was on the ropes and The Empress of Tomorrow had a hold locked in. When a submission is locked in and a wrestler makes it to the ropes then it calls for a rope break, this is basically the same, it was also a heel move from Asuka, which is surprising.

The referee in the Carmella vs Becky Lynch match was also part of one of the worst slow counts in WWE history, just to wrap up a terrible night for WWE's officials.
