What's the story?

Wrestling Inc. is reporting on a recent appearance that Braun Strowman had on the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast.

During the interview, they talked about Vince McMahon being hands-on with Strowman's character, as well as Strowman's thoughts on being a babyface within the WWE.

In case you didn't know...

Strowman made his debut on the main WWE roster in August of 2015 as part of the Wyatt Family.

He was known as the black sheep of the family and wear a black version of the sheep mask that Erick Rowan would wear to the ring.

The heart of the matter...

Strowman mentioned that Mr. McMahon has been hands-on with all of the stunts he's down on several backstage segments, as well as being there every step of the way in the development from a member of the Wyatt Family to one of the most popular WWE Superstars today.

When it comes to everything the Chairman Of WWE has been involved with in the rise of Strowman's career and character, Braun uses one word in particular, "genius."

Strowman even gave a Sam a funny story regarding Vince's involvement in the quote below:

"I am a country boy in a little small town of Sherrills Ford, North Carolina and I have an unbelievable job. Every big stunt that you have seen, he [McMahon] has been there. It's funny, because a couple of times we have had to edit him out because he'd make the accidental Stan Lee appearance in the thing, and you see him stepping out, but yeah, he steps out from meetings and everything and tries to go out there and tries to put RAW together and make sure everything is perfect in how he wants it, which is why it is working."

Though the Monster Among Men was originally presented as a monstrous heel, he's become one of the top babyfaces in the company today.

As every day passes, Strowman says that he's continuously surprised at his popularity with the WWE Universe. He would expand on those thoughts below:

"That was the thing; I wanted to be a bad guy, and they [the Office] wanted me to be a bad guy, but I don't know, I guess with my less talk and more physical mentality of just going out there and reeking havoc it was something people grabbed a hold of."

What's next?

Due to scheduling conflicts (aka grade school) of Strowman's former tag team partner Nicholas, they had to surrender the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships.

The next direction for Strowman should be revealed this week on Monday Night Raw when it takes place from Saint Louis, Missouri.

Author's take...

The organic growth of Strowman to one of the top wrestlers in the WWE is truly amazing. He consistently entertains me inside of the ring and out.

It'll be a big surprise if we have passed 2018 and Strowman hasn't become the WWE Universal Champion.
