Part 2: I'm not Finished with you, Roman Reigns Edition
The Royal Rumble marks the beginning of the road to WrestleMania, but for Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns, it was the beginning of a feud of the year. During Roman Reigns' Universal championship no Disqualification match against Kevin Owens, Braun Strowman would interfere in the match, ramming Reigns into the Steel post, then lifting him up for a deadly chokeslam onto the announce table. Strowman would then provide to carry Roman into the ring, slamming him with a running powerslam through the table that was set up in the corner. This would allow Kevin Owens to capitalize and retain his championship.
Strowman would get his first championship opportunity against Kevin Owens on the January 30th edition of Monday Night Raw. Braun Strowman looked like he was about to win when Roman Reigns came out to interfere, attacking him and costing Strowman the championship. Upset about the loss, Braun Strowman demanded more competition and defeated 4 local competitors at the same time before finally being granted a match against Roman Reigns at the Fastlane PPV.
