Ronda Rousey will sign her Raw contract at WWE Elimination Chamber

What's the Story?

Since making headlines after her WWE debut at WWE Royal Rumble, people have been wondering when Ronda Rousey would make her first Monday Night Raw appearance. According to Dave Meltzer, Rousey's first Raw could happen as soon as this Monday.

In case you didn't know...

Ronda Rousey made her debut for the company at the Royal Rumble PPV, interrupting the celebration of the women's Rumble winner, Asuka. As the Empress of Tomorrow stood in the ring with both Raw and SmackDown Women's Champions, Rousey made her way to the ring accompanied by Joan Jett's Bad Reputation.

However, while she definitely made a statement, the WWE Universe was left with a lot more questions than answers, and were wondering when she would appear on Monday Night Raw.

Rousey will sign her Monday Night Raw contract at WWE Elimination Chamber and looks to start her Road to Wrestlemania very soon.

The heart of the matter

On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed the possibility of Ronda Rousey making her Monday Night Raw debut as soon as tomorrow, one day removed from Elimination Chamber.

To quote Meltzer, "I am pretty sure Ronda Rousey will be on Raw on Monday. That's not 100%. Pretty sure, but that will be her Raw debut coming off whatever she's doing."

What's next?

The rumored story for Rousey since she appeared back in January has been an intergender tag team match between her and an unnamed partner vs Stephanie McMahon and Triple H. So far, the list of partners includes The Rock and Braun Strowman, but no official word has been made.

Author's take

It's great to see that we're finally moving forward in Rousey's story. After her surprise appearance at the Rumble, we all sort of knew that we wouldn't see her for a while.

After it was announced that she would sign her Raw contract at the Chamber, I was hoping we'd begin to see her on Monday nights. While she probably won't be in a match until Wrestlemania, it will be good to have her show up on Monday nights to begin her build to that match.
