Clicks n' Kicks: This week in WWE Superstars' Instagram accounts (Sep. 3-9)

Asuka had to relinquish her NXT title
Asuka had to relinquish her NXT title

Social media outlets have provided a platform for WWE Superstars to be themselves and show the world a different, more authentic side of themselves. Each week we scour through the hundreds of Instagram posts made by your favourite WWE Superstars and come up with a list of the best for that particular week.

Here's a look at the past weeks best in WWE Superstars' Instagram posts.

#12 Balor fan Club

Since Finn Balor arrived in the WWE, his following has grown in tremendous waves. Not only is he bringing in a huge number of new fans, but also brought in a very eccentric group to the WWE Universe, an artistic blend of Balor fanatics, if you will.

Balor has been one of the top level Superstars in the entire world for quite some time now. Having him as a member of WWE's RAW roster has only elevated the brand to levels like we've never seen.

#11 Down since day one-ish?

WWE Smackdown Women's Champion Natalya posted this old, yet gold photo of herself and husband, Tyson Kidd, during their early days with Canada's Stampede Wrestling.

At 35 years of age, Nattie is a seasoned veteran with over 17 years of professional experience under her belt. With that said, Natalya is currently celebrating her 10th year with WWE, and for the most part, her tenure has been somewhat underrated, according to many opinions, including this writer's.

Nonetheless, Nattie is reaping the rewards of her years of hard work now, as she sits atop the Women's division as the current Smackdown Women's Champion.

#10 Not-so-crazy "Mary" anymore

The face of NXT as we once knew it, is soon to change. But, before you go off on some temper-tantrum, let me assure you, it's a good thing... a really good thing. Team Yellow is in great hands.

Introducing Sarah Logan, or as some may recall her by her former ring name, Crazy Mary. Sarah made a huge name for herself prior to signing with WWE, under the Crazy Mary moniker.

But now things are different and she's ready to show the world that while the name may have changed, the same ruthless, relentless style stays the same. Welcome WWE's resident female Viking.

#9 Started from the bottom...

No matter how much longer Jinder Mahal holds the WWE Championship, no one will ever be able to accuse him of being an inactive or lazy champion. Since winning the strap, Jinder has laced his boot straps up tight and hit the road, defending against all comers and successfully retaining against all odds.

Jinder is a prime example of someone who has worked hard, taken no handouts and has scratched and clawed his way to the top... from the bitter bottom of the gutter.

#8 Owning the opportunity

"There's just something about Enzo." If I had a nickel for every time I heard that statement, I'd have two fat pockets full of nickels.

When the creative decision was made to split Enzo and Cass, I honestly thought the worst could very well be in sight for Enzo Amore.

Thankfully, I was dead wrong. Enzo has embraced his new platform, adjusted appropriately, and now, he is on the verge of possibly owning the Cruiserweight Division.

#7 Runway diva

I have stated before that I once thought Nia Jax would go over like a splash in a frying pan. I honestly had very little faith in her survival on the main roster, but I am now eating that sentiment.

Nia Jax is by far one of the most improved and adjusted Superstars from the entire brand-split and draft. She has become a complete performer, on the verge of becoming the WWE RAW Women's Champion.

Jax is not only fearless and ferocious in the ring, but she's also extremely beautiful as well, just as we see on this Instagram post of her owning the runway!

#6 Titus brand worldwide!

What do you do when your career has reached a standstill and you have absolutely zero creative help from your employer? You make the most of a near impossible situation and run with it.

You may not be a fan of Titus O'Neil, Kalisto, Apollo Crews and Akira Tozawa, but you have to respect them for the entertainment value at least.

#5 The Monster bash

When Bray Wyatt introduced Braun Strowman to the WWE Universe, there was very little known about this Wyatt Family henchman, other than the fact that he was massive and extremely intimidating. As he went forward, Strowman shook the foundation of an entire industry in ways no one could anticipate.

With virtually no experience whatsoever, Braun shocked the entire world as he honed his crafted and worked his way to the top of the food chain.

As of today, Braun Strowman is now one win away from ruling the wrestling world. If he does defeat Brock Lesnar at No Mercy, there will be no question at all about who the real beast of the WWE is.

#4 Asuka's goodbye

If there was ever a female version of Goldberg's iconic WCW run, it would definitely be Asuka.

During her match against Ember Moon at NXT Takeover: Back to Brooklyn, Asuka suffered a collarbone injury which resulted in her being on the shelf, unable to compete for as much as eight weeks. This would ultimately result in Asuka vacating her title after an unbelievable run of 510 days as the NXT Women's Champion.

Asuka has now signed with the RAW roster and is expected to join the Red squad as soon as she is cleared by the doctor.

#3 Gone too soon...

The bodybuilding world recently lost two iconic figures in their industry. Most recently, fitness icon Rich Piana passed away at the age of only 46. Prior to Rich passing away, pro bodybuilder Dallas McCarver passed away at only 26 years of age.

WWE Women's Superstar Dana Brooke had a close relationship with Dallas at the time of his passing and it always appeared that they were very happy together. As seen by this recent Instagram post, Dana is still having a hard time processing the loss.

#2 Fade to Black

As we have mentioned before, NXT is in a stage of transition at the moment. There is new talent coming in and older talent moving on and up. But, make no mistake about it, the yellow brand is indeed in great hands.

Aleister Black is one of the promising names that helps fans remain faithful to the product and lets the WWE/NXT Universe know that regardless of how many stars have been elevated to the main roster; NXT is still as strong, if not stronger than ever.

#1 Doing the most good

No matter where you are reading this column from, you are probably well aware of the hurricanes that impacted those in Texas and Florida over the past couple of weeks. In spite of the devastation that both Hurricane Harvey and Irma left behind, there is, in fact, a silver lining to it all. Granted, there was a lot of tragedy due to the storms, but it was the response that gave everyone a little hope in humanity.

Booker T, his wife Sharmell and the talent from his Reality of Wrestling promotion all lent a helping hand to the folks in the Texas Gulf Coast and did their part in helping those impacted by the storms.

Thank you, Mr. Hall of Famer.
