CM Punk, Curtis Axel vs 'The Prime Time Players' next week on WWE RAW

Two of Paul Heyman’s guys, CM Punk and Intercontinental champion Curtis Axel will take on the ‘The Prime Time Players’ next week on WWE RAW.

This tag team match-up was announced after CM Punk’s match with Darren Young dished out a few surprises. Punk, was emotionally hurt following an altercation with Heyman earlier on the show and was clearly not wrestling to his complete potential, thereby allowing Young to dominate the match.

Both men put up a good fight though, before Punk hit the ‘Anaconda vice’ submission for the victory. What followed this was surprising. Titus O’Neil and Young started to ambush Punk after the match and he was rescued by Axel.

With Heyman now as the centre of attention, it will be interesting what role Axel plays with respect to Punk-Lesnar feud.
