The CW Television Network has recently released a new trailer for the upcoming season 5 of their TV Show Arrow which also briefly features the former WWE Star Cody Rhodes.
As seen in the extended trailer below Cody is playing a villain's role and is seen attacking Green Arrow in a hallway around the 35-second mark.
It's not known yet how long Cody's role in the series will be and if the former Intercontinental Champion will appear in one or multiple episodes of upcoming season.
The 5th season of DC's superhero adventure will continue the plot from the season four of the show which saw the hero of the series, Green Arrow, taking on the primary villain Damien Darhk.
It will see Oliver Queen (played by Stephen Amell) trying to put together a new team to take on a new mysterious foe after the death of Laurel Lance at the end of season 4. Below is the synopsis for the upcoming season:
Newly appointed Mayor Oliver Queen finds himself challenged as he fights on two fronts for the future of Star City. With Diggle back in the military and Thea adamant about hanging up her hood as Speedy, Team Green Arrow is down to just Oliver and Felicity – but they’re no longer the only vigilantes in town. Green Arrow’s public defeat of Damien Darhk at the end of Season Four has inspired a new crop of masked heroes to step up and defend the city, though their painful inexperience makes them obstacles, rather than allies, in the field. The arrival of a deadly new adversary will force Oliver to confront questions about his own legacy, both as mayor and as the Green Arrow.
It's notable here that this won't be the first time both Television Stars will be colliding each other on-screen as Cody Rhodes had a feud with Stephen Amell last year when he was still in WWE.
Cody was portraying the character of Stardust at the time and after a brief feud with Amell, he attacked the star of Arrow during a Raw episode which featured him as a special guest.
This lead to a match between the team of Stardust and Wade Barret vs. the team of Neville and Stephen Amell at Summerslam 2015 which was won by the team of Neville and Amell.
After about a year of their feud Cody left both WWE and the Stardust character and he has been working on the independent circuit ever since.
