Punk's tweet takes Twitter by storm
CM Punk's recent tweet promoting this week's episode of WWE Backstage caused a major Twitter storm, that involved a heated Twitter feud between AEW President Tony Khan and WWE Superstar Randy Orton. The conversation included responses from the likes of Charlotte Flair and Brandi Rhodes.
What many might have missed amidst the hullabaloo is Renee Young's tweet, where she recommended fans to watch the episode. A fan replied to the tweet, pointing out that Punk had tagged Khan and Vince McMahon in his tweet.

Another fan chimed in and stated that Punk would be in AEW if Cody Rhodes had been a bit more professional while approaching the former WWE Champion.
Rhodes noticed the accusation and decided to clear things up. He also advised fans to be happy about the fact that Punk's happy working for WWE Backstage.
Can you blame him though lol. If a certain @CodyRhodes was a bit more professional in approaching @CMPunk maybe a dinner meeting or a phone call. Literally anything but a text message then punk would be in aew.
I was not unprofessional in my conduct. I never texted anybody an offer. He’s doing what he wants to do and fans should be happy that he’s happy regardless of which promotion.
