The King and Queen of the Ring Tournament is set to continue on WWE SmackDown. The show will feature Cody Rhodes against Damian Priest, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Andrade in a fatal four-way bout. The winner of this match will qualify for the semifinals of the King of the Ring Tournament on June 27.

Cody Rhodes is on a mission to recover his Undisputed WWE Championship after losing it to John Cena at WrestleMania 41. The American Nightmare is determined to win the King of the Ring Tournament to get another shot at John Cena at SummerSlam. However, things could take an unfortunate turn for Cody, and he might get removed from the tournament.

The American Nightmare pinned Cena in a tag match with Jey Uso against the former and Logan Paul at Money in the Bank. This was due to the shocking return of Ron Killings (aka R-Truth) at the Premium Live Event. During the match, Truth made a sudden appearance and attacked the Undisputed WWE Champion, enabling Cody to secure the victory.

WWE failed to hide these secrets - Check them out!

With that being said, Cody Rhodes might not have appreciated Killings for helping him secure the victory at the last PLE. The latter feeling unappreciated might turn against the American Nightmare on tonight's show. The 53-year-old might attack the former Undisputed WWE Champion during the King of the Ring bout. This might result in Cody being taken out of the tournament.

While the above angle might sound promising, it is still just speculation. Only tonight's show will reveal what will happen during the King of the Ring Tournament.

Cody Rhodes could face Seth Rollins at WWE SummerSlam

On the latest episode of WWE RAW, Sami Zyan punched his ticket to the next round of the 2025 King of the Ring Tournament. However, the tournament continues on SmackDown.

Two Fatal Four-Way matches have been scheduled for tonight. One will feature Cody Rhodes in a bout against Damian Priest, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Andrade. The American Nightmare, on a mission to regain his Undisputed WWE Championship, may pull off a big win against the three other superstars. He can then go on to secure victory in the finals of the King of the Ring Tournament, punching his ticket for a title match against John Cena at SummerSlam.

In a shocking twist, Seth Rollins may cash in his Money in the Bank contract on the Undisputed WWE Champion, John Cena, at the Night of Champions PLE. The Visionary had a feud with the American Nightmare a couple of years ago. Though the two once teamed up against Roman Reigns and The Rock in a tag match at WrestleMania 40, WWE could revive the feud at the next Premium Live Event.

With Paul Heyman being on Seth's side, many fans want to see The Visionary go to war with his former rival, Cody Rhodes. There is no better place to make this happen than The Biggest Party of the Summer. However, the above angle remains speculation.
