At Bad Blood 2024, Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes teamed up to take on common enemies in the form of Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu in a tag team match. The Original Tribal Chief pinned The Street Champion and won the contest. However, the show went off-air with a surprising cliffhanger where The Rock made his much-anticipated return.
The action didn’t end there. As we saw, the Stamford-based promotion has been building tension between friends Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens. While The American Nightmare was leaving the arena, The Prizefighter turned on him and launched a ferocious attack on Rhodes in the parking lot.
On the latest episode of RAW, Cody Rhodes made an appearance on the red brand to see what it would take to become the men's Crown Jewel Champion. However, Cathy Kelley stopped him for a quick interview and asked him about Kevin Owens's betrayal. He told her that he would address that on SmackDown and, at this moment, did not want to speculate on everything that happened at Bad Blood. The American Nightmare was on RAW to construct a game plan for his opponent at Crown Jewel 2024, so he could claim another title and create history.
It looks like Rhodes is trying to be professional, and it seems like he is not angry at KO for attacking him, and he actually wants to first listen to his side before passing any judgment. Also, he seems determined to capture the Crown Jewel Title first at the upcoming PLE.
Triple H is seemingly not happy with Kevin Owens attacking Cody Rhodes at Bad Blood 2024
During the Bad Blood 2024 post-event presser, Triple H showed up and revealed that he wasn’t ready for the conference. He said that Cody Rhodes could not make it, and he was there as a replacement.
Later, the video of The Prizefighter attacking The American Nightmare in the parking lot came out, making clear the reason Rhodes missed the press conference despite a big win in the main event. It looked like the CCO, Triple H, was not at all pleased with the situation, as he tweeted that he was aware of the problem that had occurred between former friends. He also mentioned that the matter was being dealt with internally.
It remains to see what action the Stamford-based company will take against Kevin Owens who attacked Cody Rhodes, risked his health, and made him miss an important press conference.
