Dash Wilder Injury Update: Scott Dawson gives an update on tag partner's health

Dawson has a message for the tag teams

What’s the story?

WWE’s YouTube channel recently posted a video of Scott Dawson from The Revival giving an update on his tag team partner Dash Wilder’s broken jaw. The doctors wired Dash’s jaw shut two weeks ago, but Dawson said that he wanted to pass along a message to the WWE Universe.

The message was that the entire tag team division needs on alert as they are coming for the championships in six weeks.

In case you didn’t know...

The Revival started in NXT as a tag team in 2014 when Dash signed with the company and Dawson returned from injury. They are the first (and only) tag team to hold the NXT Tag Team Championships twice.

The heart of the matter

Dawson confirmed in that video that Dash will have to continue to have his jaw wired shut for another four weeks. Dash has to stick to a liquid diet only, no solid foods. Dawson would go on to say that Dash is one of the toughest men he’s known in his life and that is why he is his best friend.

What’s next?

The Revival should return to Monday Night Raw towards the end of June. With their popularity and talent carrying over to the main roster, it isn’t out of the ordinary to assume they could be in position for a tag team title shot at SummerSlam.

Author’s take

Injuries have bad timing in professional wrestling and The Revival is an example of that. Dash’s broken jaw came just two weeks after their debut on the main roster.

It’s good to hear that Dash is on his way to returning soon and that they have their sights on the championships right away.
